Cassandra Monique Batie is an American R&B, soul and singer/songwriter. She is also a performer. Her awards include an Grammy Award as well as an Children's and Family Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award. She was also nominated to win the Academy Award. Andra Day is a ferocious performer and talented songwriter. isn't merely a throwback R&B expert. Her roots are in gospel jazz and the blues displayed with ease and aplomb are reflected in the modern day. Andra Day is born Cassandra Monique Batie, in Edmonds Washington. She grew in San Diego and the metropolitan zone. She sang in church and attended The School of Creative and Performing Arts. After graduating from the school, she gravitated towards the newer styles of R&B and pop, but she was eventually drawn back to the classic jazz and soul vocalists she was exposed to as a youngster. Kai Millard Morris, who saw a live show by Day and took her music to Stevie Wonder's husband, was the main achievement. The Motown legend in turn connected Day with music industry veteran Adrian Gurvitz. Day's fans on YouTube grew quickly following her collaboration alongside Gurvitz, Jeffrey Evans and Buskin. In 2012 Day released her debut song Forever Mine. It was taken up and played on the radio by numerous DJs. After joining Warner Bros. Records, she began to work with producer Adrian Gurvitz for her debut album "Cheers to the autumn" (2015). It featured the track Rise Up that has since become an internationally renowned popular song for those involved in social movements. Day has received two Grammy nominations for her album including Best R&B Album. The United States vs. Billie Holiday, a concept-album on the famous jazz musician's life was released in 2019. This year she also appeared in a biopic of Holiday's life, The United States vs. Billie Holiday (2021). Andi Matichak is an American actress. She made her debut in the film Halloween in the role of Allyson following her appearance in several TV shows such as Orange Is the New Black (Orange is the New Black), Park Avenue (666) Park Avenue (666 Park Avenue) and Blue Bloods and Orange is the New Black.
